About Us

Rainbow Roos is a not-for-profit soccer program based in Lismore, NSW, dedicated to advancing social inclusion and community wellbeing through fun, accessible sport.

We provide safe, supportive, and inclusive coaching for children of all abilities—especially those who may face barriers to participation due to disability, financial hardship, or social disadvantage. Our goal is to build a welcoming, diverse environment where every child can experience joy, connection, and personal growth through the game.

Philosophy

Rainbow Roos is a not-for-profit soccer program that makes the game fun, inclusive, and accessible to all children—especially those who may be excluded from mainstream sport due to disability, social barriers, or financial hardship.

We prioritise enjoyment over competition, using play-based learning to build confidence, creativity, and social connection. Our mission is to empower families, celebrate all abilities, and create a safe, welcoming community where every child has the opportunity to belong and thrive.

Charitable Purpose

Rainbow Roos is in the process of registering as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). This process ensures our organisation is formally recognised for the work we do to advance social and public welfare in our community.

Our charitable purpose is to provide inclusive, accessible, and non-competitive soccer programs that support the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of children—particularly those with disability, financial hardship, or limited access to recreational opportunities. This purpose guides everything we do, and we’ll continue to keep our community informed as we progress through the registration process.

Boot Library

The Rainbow Roos Boot Library supports families by providing free and low-cost second-hand boots, shinpads, and shirts to children who need them. We know that kids grow quickly and sports gear can be expensive—so we’re building a community resource that removes barriers to participation.

Families are welcome to donate outgrown gear or borrow what they need to keep their children active, included, and confident on the field. It’s all about supporting each other and ensuring every child has the chance to play, no matter their circumstances.
