"WE DREAM OF A WORLD WHERE ORGANISATIONS LIKE OURS DON'T NEED TO EXIST"
Welcome to Rainbow Roos! We’re more than just a soccer program - we offer a fun, inclusive, and adaptable skills-based approach for children as young as two, all the way through to adults.
With experience working with children with additional needs, we provide personalised support to ensure every player feels valued, supported, and ready to enjoy the game at their own pace.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, our coaching team is dedicated to nurturing both skills and confidence.
Welcome to Rainbow Roos!

At Rainbow Roos, we’re not just coaching soccer - we’re shaping smiles, friendships, and futures. Based in in Northern Rivers NSW, we run a fun, inclusive soccer skills program for children of all ages and abilities. Whether your little one is mastering their first kick or pulling off impressive footwork, there’s a place for them in our rainbow-colored world of play.

It’s About More Than the Ball
Yes, we teach soccer skills - but that’s just the beginning. Every Rainbow Roos session is designed to help children grow in confidence, coordination, communication, and creativity. We play games that challenge the body and the mind, all while building social skills, resilience, and self-belief.
We don’t believe in pressure, competition, or comparing kids to one another. Every child develops at their own pace - and we’re here to support them every step (and side-step) of the way.

True Inclusion, Real Impact
At Rainbow Roos, inclusion isn’t a buzzword - it’s our heartbeat. We proudly offer sessions for children with additional needs, including one-on-one NDIS support and small group programs tailored to a variety of physical, developmental, and sensory needs.

Our goal? To create well-rounded individuals who feel seen, valued, and capable - not just on the pitch, but in life. We want every child to leave our sessions with a sense of belonging, a belief in themselves, and the joy of simply being part of something fun and meaningful.

Helping Kids Thrive - Not Just Survive
We understand that for many families, navigating childhood challenges - from autism to anxiety, ADHD to physical disabilities - can feel overwhelming. That’s why we’re here to offer more than a soccer program.
We offer:
-
A safe space where children can grow emotionally, socially, and physically.
-
Coaches trained to meet kids where they are - with patience, energy, and encouragement.
-
A community that embraces diversity and builds resilience, connection, and joy.
At Rainbow Roos, we’re not trying to create the next football superstar - we’re nurturing the next generation of kind, confident, and thriving humans.
Soccer and So Much More!
We also bring the fun to:
-
Birthday parties (complete with epic soccer games and lots of laughs!)
Wherever there are children who love to move, we’re ready to roll in (soccer balls and all).
How We Keep the Ball Rolling
Rainbow Roos is proudly community-driven and grant-supported.
To make our inclusive programs as accessible as possible, we actively:

-
Apply for grants from councils, sports bodies, and inclusive education programs
-
Fundraise locally through sausage sizzles, community days, and more
-
Welcome donations from individuals and businesses who believe in our mission
-
Explore sponsorships and partnerships with organisations who share our values
Your support helps us subsidise session fees for families doing it tough, buy adaptive equipment, train new coaches, and reach more children in need of inclusive sport.

Meet Brad – The Heart Behind the Roos
Rainbow Roos was founded by Brad Ambridge, a passionate coach and dedicated dad who migrated to Australia in search of a better life for his autistic son. After facing isolation, visa uncertainty and an unexpected redundancy, Brad knew he had to build something that gave back - a place where every child could feel seen and supported.

Rainbow Roos began with that vision and continues to grow, powered by lived experience, community spirit, and a genuine belief in every child’s potential.

Our Big Dream
Our future goal? A fully accessible indoor venue with artificial grass, a welcoming parent café, and multipurpose rooms for community workshops, inclusive programs, youth clubs, baby groups, and more. It’ll be more than a soccer pitch - it’ll be a safe, social, and supportive space for all.

We’re not just kicking balls - we’re kicking goals for inclusion, mental health, and brighter futures.
👉 Help Us Build the Dream
Based in Lismore, NSW
Still recovering from the 2022 floods, Lismore has shown us what resilience really looks like. We’re proud to call it home and to be part of the ongoing recovery - one session, one child, one community connection at a time.
What Our Families Say
“The only place my son truly feels like he fits in.”
