"WE DREAM OF A WORLD WHERE ORGANISATIONS LIKE OURS DON'T NEED TO EXIST"
Welcome to Rainbow Roos – where soccer is more than a sport. It’s a tool for connection, confidence, and inclusion.
We’re a not-for-profit community organisation offering fun, accessible, and adaptable soccer programs for children as young as two, through to teens and adults. Whether it’s your first time kicking a ball or you're ready to build on existing skills, there’s a place for you here. Specialising in inclusive coaching and personalised support, we proudly work with individuals of all abilities - including those with physical, developmental and sensory needs. Our goal is simple: to ensure everyone feels welcome, supported, and empowered to participate at their own pace.
Because everyone deserves the chance to play, belong, and thrive.
Welcome to Rainbow Roos!

Where soccer sparks joy, builds confidence, and strengthens community - one happy child at a time.
At Rainbow Roos, we’re not just coaching soccer - we’re supporting childhood development, fostering social inclusion, and creating brighter futures through fun and accessible programs. Based in the Northern Rivers, NSW, we run inclusive soccer skills sessions for children of all ages and abilities. Whether your little one is taking their first kick or pulling off impressive footwork, there’s a place for them in our rainbow-coloured world of play.

It’s About More Than the Ball

Yes, we teach soccer skills—but that’s just the beginning. Each Rainbow Roos session is thoughtfully designed to help children grow in confidence, communication, coordination, and creativity. Through fun, movement-based games, we build resilience, emotional wellbeing, and positive peer connection in a supportive, non-competitive environment.
We meet children where they’re at—without pressure, comparison, or unrealistic expectations. Every child develops at their own pace, and we’re here to support them every step (and side-step) of the way.

True Inclusion, Real Impact

At Rainbow Roos, inclusion isn’t a buzzword—it’s our purpose. We proudly offer programs for children with additional needs, including NDIS-supported one-on-one sessions and small group programs tailored for a variety of physical, developmental, or sensory challenges.

Our goal? To provide every child—not just those in mainstream sport—with the opportunity to feel seen, valued, and capable. We aim to nurture wellbeing, foster connection, and create lasting joy for all families, regardless of background or circumstance.

Helping Kids Thrive - Not Just Survive

We understand that for many families, raising children with additional needs—such as autism, anxiety, ADHD, or physical disabilities—can be isolating and overwhelming. Rainbow Roos is here to offer more than sport. We provide:
-
A safe, welcoming space where children can grow emotionally, socially, and physically
-
Coaches trained in inclusive, strengths-based approaches who bring patience, energy, and encouragement
-
A community built on diversity, kindness, and connection

We’re not chasing elite talent—we’re nurturing the next generation of confident, kind, and resilient humans.
Soccer and So Much More!

We also bring the fun to:
-
Birthday parties (full of games and laughter!)
-
Vacation care and school holiday programs
-
Preschool and school incursions
-
Community events, festivals, and local activations
Wherever there are children who love to move, we’re ready to roll in—soccer balls and all!
How We Keep the Ball Rolling

Rainbow Roos is proudly community-driven and supported through grants, sponsorships, and local generosity. To keep our inclusive programs affordable and accessible, we actively:
-
Apply for funding from councils, sport and health initiatives, and inclusive education programs
-
Fundraise through sausage sizzles, community days, and grassroots campaigns
-
Accept donations of money, time, or equipment from individuals and local businesses
-
Partner with organisations that share our values of inclusion and wellbeing
Your support helps us remove financial barriers, provide adaptive gear, train coaches, and reach more children who need a safe place to play and grow.

Meet Brad – The Heart Behind the Roos

Rainbow Roos was founded by Brad Ambridge, a passionate coach and devoted father who migrated to Australia seeking a better life for his autistic son. After facing isolation, visa challenges, and an unexpected redundancy, Brad saw the need for a local, inclusive program that welcomed all children—especially those often left out.

What began as a personal vision has grown into a thriving not-for-profit making real change in the lives of local families.

Our Big Dream

Looking ahead, we dream of creating a fully accessible indoor venue—complete with artificial turf, a parent café, and multipurpose community rooms. This space will offer:
-
Inclusive sport sessions year-round
-
Youth groups, baby classes, and family workshops
-
A central hub for support, social connection, and community wellbeing
It won’t just be a pitch—it’ll be a space where children and families feel safe,
supported, and proud to belong.
