"WE DREAM OF A WORLD WHERE ORGANISATIONS LIKE OURS DON'T NEED TO EXIST"
Welcome to Rainbow Roos – where soccer is more than a sport. It’s a tool for connection, confidence, and inclusion.
We’re a not-for-profit community organisation offering fun, accessible, and adaptable soccer programs for children as young as two, through to teens and adults. Whether it’s your first time kicking a ball or you're ready to build on existing skills, there’s a place for you here. Specialising in inclusive coaching and personalised support, we proudly work with individuals of all abilities - including those with physical, developmental and sensory needs. Our goal is simple: to ensure everyone feels welcome, supported, and empowered to participate at their own pace.
Because everyone deserves the chance to play, belong, and thrive.
Luka - Lead Coach
Luka has always felt at home on the soccer field, with some of his earliest memories involving a ball at his feet and a team around him. That lifelong love for the game has shaped not only his skills but his understanding of how powerful sport can be in building confidence, friendship, and community.

Originally from the Northern Rivers and now based in Ballina, Luka brings with him a passion for soccer, a background in disability support, and hands-on experience coaching young children. While living in Brisbane, he ran a pre-soccer program focused on fun, movement, and helping children build confidence in a playful and encouraging environment.
His work as a support worker, particularly with children on the autism spectrum and those with high needs, means he strongly aligns with Rainbow Roos’ inclusive and child-led approach. Luka is deeply committed to creating safe, supportive spaces where every child—regardless of ability—feels welcome and empowered to shine.
Now part of the Rainbow Roos coaching team, Luka is excited to combine his love of the game with his passion for inclusion, helping young players grow in confidence, skill, and teamwork while having loads of fun along the way.

"Our country has been through difficult experiences in terms of unity. Sport - football in particular - has the power to help that. It is a special feeling."
— Gareth Southgate
